Parramatta Park

Opening hours

COVID-19 update for the community and park visitors

Pedestrian access

The Park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week; but there are no lights in most of the park so it is very dark at night.

The best entry points for pedestrians are from O'Connell, Pitt, Macquarie and George Streets on the eastern side; Queens Road and Park Avenue to the west, and the Great Western Highway to the south.

Vehicle access

The Macquarie Street gate is open 6am–6pm (8pm during daylight saving).

Queens Road gate is open 10am–3pm on weekdays and 6am–6pm on weekends and public holidays (8pm during daylight saving).

Entry to the park is free. Parking fees may apply. Accessible parking spots are available.

See Getting to the Park for more information about driving and parking and using public transport.
