Playground naming competition, Gardens Precinct, Parramatta Park – terms and conditions

Here are the conditions of entry for our competition to name the new playground in the Gardens Precinct. Read them carefully as they contain important things you should know. 

How do I enter?

Naming competition: Part II

You need to fill out our voting form via the following link. You will need to provide your name, surname, email address and choose your favourite name from our shortlist.


Naming competition: Part I (competition has now closed)

You need to fill out our entry form via the following link. You will be asked to provide your name, surname, email address (for contact purposes), the name you suggest and a brief explanation of your choice drawing on the themes of environment, native plants and inclusion.

Multiple entries are accepted provided you are eligible. 

 

 

 

When does the competition end?

Naming competition: Part II

Part II of the competition runs from Monday 15 to Sunday 21 July 2019 (please refer to Q. How do we pick a winner for more details).

 

Naming competition: Part I 

The competition runs from Wednesday 3 July to Tuesday 9 July 2019 at 9pm.

A panel of judges will shortlist a maximum of five names and put them out for final vote from Monday 15 to Sunday 21 July 2019 (please refer to Q. How do we pick a winner for more details).

 

 

Who can enter?

Anyone from the age of 18 and above is eligible to enter.

Immediate family members of directors or employees of the Parramatta Park Trust are ineligible to enter the competition. 

What if I am under 18?

Naming competition: part II

You cannot enter the competition yourself. You can submit your vote to your parents.


Naming competition: Part I

You cannot enter the competition yourself. You can submit your idea to your parents, multiple entries are allowed.

What can I win?

The winner will be invited to bring up to 4 x family or friends to the official opening of the playground and receive a $100 voucher to spend at Westfield. 

The name of the winner will be published on Parramatta Park and ParraParents social media channels and websites.  

How do you pick the winner?

Naming competition: Part II 

The shortlist will be posted on Parramatta Park and ParraParents social media channels so people can vote for their favourite potential name.

The name with the most votes by the voting closing date will be the winner.

 

Naming competition: Part I 

A shortlist of suitable names will be selected by a judging panel the week after the competition closes. The panel will be made up of 2 representatives from Parramatta Park Trust and 1 representative from ParraParents.

A shortlist will be created by the panel and put forward for public vote. 

How do I know if I’ve won?

We will contact the winner via email. The winner must not disclose the name prior to the official opening of the playground. The name will be announced at the official opening.

If the name is disclosed before the announcement, another winner will be chosen from the shortlist of names. 

Terms and conditions

The promoter is the Paramatta Park Trust (the Trust), 10 Valentine Avenue Parramatta NSW 2124.

Please note that the decision made by the Trust with regards to the names shortlisted will be final and no discussion will be entered into.

The Trust reserves the right to disqualify any entrant.

The Trust will contact the winner via the email address provided in the entry form. If the winner does not contact the Trust within 72 hours of contact, there will be a redraw.

The following conditions apply:

  • Eligible entrants can apply in their own name only
  • The prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash
  • The Trust reserves the right to cancel or modify the competition at any time.

The trust will promote the competition through Facebook. However, the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.

Those entering this competition consent to the temporary storage of their personal information on the Trust’s database. We will keep your personal information in accordance with the Trust’s privacy policy at https://www.parrapark.com.au/privacy/
