Call for Expressions of Interest - Parramatta Park Trustees

The Hon. Mark Speakman, Minister for Environment, invites nominations for persons interested in filling two Non Executive Director vacancies on the Parramatta Park Trust Board. 

Parramatta Park is a world heritage listed park at the heart of the dynamic urban centre of Parramatta, with a rich indigenous and European history and over 2.3 million people visiting the park annually. The park plays a key role in providing recreation, leisure and cultural opportunities for the diverse communities of Western Sydney.

Reporting direct to the Minister for Environment, the Board’s role is to lead the ongoing restoration of the park and its heritage, recreation and environmental values, and to provide strategic leadership and high level advice for the park’s sustainable management. Applicants should display high level leadership and stakeholder engagement capability, with a knowledge of either heritage conservation, recreation, tourism and events management, communications, finance or corporate relations. Applications are encouraged from those with a strong understanding of western Sydney and its communities.

The Board values diversity and welcomes expressions of interest from women, Aboriginal persons, persons with a disability, and persons from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
