Booking FAQs

Why are all the shelters and dates greyed out?

If a shelters and dates are greyed out, it means bookings aren’t available. Bookings can be made a minimum of 3 days in advance and a maximum of 3 months in advance.

Why is the shelter I want marked with an X?

When a shelter has already been hired or is not available, an X will appear under the date. Please select another shelter or date for your booking.

Why can’t I change the times for the booking?

The hire times and booking type are selected at the start of the booking process and can’t be changed once you move through to the checkout. If you go back to the beginning you can change the hire time and move through again.

How do I change my booking type?

The booking type is selected at the start of the process. If you go back to the start, you can change the booking type.

Why can’t I select the date I want?

The period you have selected is not open for bookings. Bookings can be made a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 90 days from today.

How do you stop people from using my shelter?

We will place a ‘reserved’ sign at the shelter so other park users know it has been booked. Our rangers will be able to assist if there are any issues.

Do I have to pay with a credit card?

Yes all bookings must be paid in full with a valid credit card when the reservation is made. No other payment methods are available.

Can I swap the shelter / area that I have booked?

You are not able to change the shelter or area you have hired once your booking has been confirmed. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information. 

Can I cancel my booking?

To cancel your booking, you will need to email your request to bookings@ppt.nsw.gov.au quoting your booking number, area and date. Cancellation fees do apply and vary depending on the notice provided. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information. 

Can I decorate the shelter?

You are able to decorate the shelter with streamers, balloons (not helium), signs and similar decorations. All decorations must be attached with string or streamers and must be fully removed after your booking. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Hire for more information.
